Beauty Queens

Beauty Queens is about beauty queens (obviously) whose plane crashes into a tropical island. The surviving Miss Teen Dream contestants must work together to survive. The girls fight at first then come together. About half way through the book is the height of their girl-power. When the pirates showed up I thought that the girls would forget about working together but they were still awesome.

“The world expected girls to pluck and primp and put on heels. Meanwhile, boys dressed in rumpled T-shirts and baggy pants and misplaced their combs, and yet you were supposed to fall at their feet? Unacceptable.” Oh, Taylor (Miss Texas) you are so relatable.
